Leonesa were reported by The Sun at the weekend (p59 23/7) to be launching a partnership with the Spanish side.
The club is 99 per cent owned by the Aspire Academy in Qatar, where Leeds board member Ivan Bravo is director.
This is not the first deal of it’s type Leeds have been linked to.
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Rodri has been linked to Leonesa via Leeds
Spanish outlet Cadena Ser reported Leeds are to ‘acquire the rights’ of striker Rodrigo Rios Lozano, who will play next season at Leonesa.
Toni Villa currently plays for Real Valladolid and is valued in excess of £300,000.
Last season he scored seven goals for the club, playing mainly from a central attacking midfield role, also featuring on the left wing.
