The Dutchman believes an exit from ADO Den Haag is unlikely today.

Leeds United have been linked with a move for ADO Den Haag central defender Tom Beugelsdijk this week.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds boss Garry Monk deployed scouts to check on Beugelsdijk in action against Excelsior recently, and was left convinced by the 26-year-old.

The move has not seemed to progress however in the past week.

Now the player himself has confirmed he will be staying at ADO for the time being.

Beugelsdijk, who had also been linked with Italian clubs Sampdoria and Pescara, told Omnisport, as quoted by Voetbal Zone:

“I do think so (‘I’ll leave) not unless something really crazy happens.

“My agent has heard of interest from Italy, but little is happening at the moment.

“I will always listen to offers, but I have not seen any sort of proposal. So there is little to think about.”

So it appears no official offer ever truly materialised for the imposing defender and he is now set to remain with the Dutch club.

Leeds United have been flaky at the back so far this season and Garry Monk is open to selling club captain Sol Bamba.

However, they have a ready-made replacement in recent loan signing Pontus Jansson from Torino and a move for Beugelsdijk did seem a little like overkill from Leeds.

Now it appears the Dutchman will not be on his way to Elland Road, it seems that was the case.
