Leeds United want Lewis Pirie but now face a fight with Brighton and Fulham as they battle for the Aberdeen striker’s signature.
The Whites have placed a strong focus on adding young talent for their development squad ever since Victor Orta’s arrival in 2017.
Pascal Struijk has been a big success story from that approach, becoming a first-team regular at Elland Road.
The likes of Joe Gelhardt, Lewis Bate and Sam Greenwood have arrived too, whilst the recruitment drive continued this summer with deals for Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins.

Leeds United want Lewis Pirie
Leeds could now look to Scotland for their next youth addition – and it’s Aberdeen being eyed up once again.
The Whites were keen on signing Calvin Ramsay over the summer window but ended up losing out to Liverpool.
Now it’s Aberdeen striker Lewis Pirie on Leeds’ wish list with the Daily Record reporting their interest.
The problem for Leeds is that they are far from alone in the race to sign Pirie.
It’s stated that Fulham as well as Brighton and Hove Albion are also keen on landing Pirie.
The English clubs are understood to have watched Pirie in action when Scotland Under-16’s took on Denmark earlier this month.
Brighton allegedly have ‘glowing reports’ on Pirie and may well hold the strongest interest of the trio, whilst Sheffield United are also interest.
Aberdeen want to give Pirie a professional deal at Pittodrie but Brighton, Fulham and Leeds will now hope to turn the teenager’s head.
Ramsay has emerged as a real talent and Aberdeen will hope that Pirie can ascend to similar level.
Yet just like Ramsay, Pirie is attracting strong English interest at a very young age and Leeds will be looking to add the promising young striker to their ever-growing developmental ranks.
