Leeds United have been urged to stick with manager Thomas Christiansen.

Leeds United legend Eddie Gray has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that the club must stick with manager Thomas Christiansen despite a poor run of form.
The Whites saw Garry Monk leave the club at the end of last season, eventually heading to Middlesbrough, leaving Leeds to find yet another new manager – and they took the surprise decision to appoint Christiansen.
Formerly of AEK Larnaca and APOEL Nicosia, Christiansen was something of an unknown when he arrived at Elland Road, but having dropped just four points in the first seven games of the season, Leeds looked to have made an inspired appointment.

However, fortunes have changed since then, and Leeds have now lost seven of their last nine Championship games, picking up two wins in that run as the wheels have somewhat come off Christiansen’s side.
Such a torrid run – which continued before the international break with a 3-1 defeat at Brentford – has piled the pressure on Christiansen, with questions already being asked about his future.
Leeds have gone through a host of managers in recent years, including David Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, Uwe Rosler and Steve Evans, but they have now been urged to stick by Christiansen.
Leeds legend Eddie Gray has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thinks the club have to stick by Christiansen, and should back him with new signings in January given that he has got ‘good ideas’.

Gray added that Leeds are simply suffering from a lack of confidence right now, but he is backing the players – and manager Christiansen – to be able to hang in and turn things around.
“I think you’ve got to stick with the manager, no doubt about it,” said Gray. “You can’t keep changing and I think that Thomas has got good ideas. What you have got to remember as well is that you have got to get the right personnel in as well and players. You have got to try and hang in there I think until January and then add to the squad – try and make the squad a bit stronger.”
“The season started well but I think they are suffering from a lack of confidence just now. They have had a few defeats and you can see when they go a goal down that they get a little bit frustrated and I think a little bit of frustration is creeping in as well with things not going right for them. I think the players are capable of hanging in there but whether they are capable of hanging in there with the top teams remains to be seen,” he added.
