Leeds United are interested in signing Vedat Muriqi from Lazio in the January transfer window, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi.
The Italian news outlet has claimed that Leeds have registered their interest in the 27-year-old Lazio striker.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side reportedly want to sign Muriqi on loan from Lazio until the end of the season.
Hull City are also claimed to be interested in securing the services of the former Fenerbahce striker this month.
Would Vedat Muriqi make Leeds better?
In our view, Leeds should not sign Muriqi from Lazio in the January transfer window, even on a loan deal.
The 27-year-old has really struggled at Lazio and has been off-form since the start of last season.
Muriqi moved to Lazio in the summer of 2020 and has simply failed to make an impact at the Italian club.
The Kosovo international made seven starts and 20 substitute appearances in the league last season.

Muriqi scored just one goal in those games.
The striker did not score any goals in five Champions League matches for Lazio last season.
So far this season, Muriqi has made one start and 10 substitute appearances in Serie A and has made three substitute appearances in the Champions League for Lazio.
The striker has not scored.
Yes, we know that Leeds are struggling for goals and the injury to star striker Patrick Bamford.
But, in our view, there is no point in bring in a striker who has struggled for more than a year in front of goal.
