Leeds United are in the market for a new goalkeeper, and Valerenga ace Kristoffer Klaesson looks to be one of the top targets.
The Whites have allowed Kiko Casilla to leave the club, with the goalkeeper heading back to Spain in order to join Elche.
That leaves Illan Meslier as clear first-choice with little competition, so Victor Orta needs to dip into the transfer market to grab another option.
A couple of names have been suggested, but The Athletic report that Klaesson is Orta’s top choice if a reasonable fee can be agreed.
Klaesson, 20, has already made 54 first-team appearances for Valerenga, emerging as one of the top young players in Norway.
Many expect him to play for Norway at senior level in the future, and a move to the Premier League could help that come true down the line.

Now, Valerenga boss Dag-Eliev Fagermo has told Eurosport that he would be ‘very proud’ to see Klaesson join Leeds, seemingly wishing the best for his star man even if it means losing him.
Fagermo added that he would love to come and visit Klaesson whilst also meeting Marcelo Bielsa during any trip to West Yorkshire.
“If he is sold to Leeds, then I will be very proud of course,” said Fagermo. “At least then I’ll be over to visit him. He and Bielsa,” he added.
