Leeds United are open to selling reported Liverpool and Manchester City target Kalvin Phillips if he wants to leave, according to The Athletic.
What’s the story?
The Athletic are reporting this morning that Leeds do not want to lose Phillips.
However, the West Yorkshire club do not want to hold back the 25-year-old England international midfielder either.
Described as “a very valuable player” by Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa in Leeds Live this month, the club reportedly respect him enough not to force him to stay if he wants to move on.
However, the report has added that Leeds do expect to agree a new deal with the 25-year-old soon.

Kalvin Phillips’s future
We can be certain that Leeds will not sell Phillips in the January transfer window.
Leeds will certainly not want to damage their season by selling one of their best players in the middle of the campaign.
However, you never know what could happen next summer.
90min reported this month that Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all are keen on signing Phillips in the summer of 2022.
These clubs compete for the Premier League title and play in the Champions League season after season.
