Jesse Marsch is under huge pressure but Leeds United seemingly don’t believe that there is a standout candidate to replace him right now.

Leeds were in action on Sunday afternoon as they took on Fulham in what felt like a must-win game for Marsch.

Rodrigo’s opener gave fans hope but Leeds capitulated to go 3-1 down with Crysencio Summerville’s late goal little more than a consolation in the end.

That’s now four defeats in a row for Leeds and just two points taken from the last eight games.

Jesse Marsch is under huge pressure

Leeds fans made their anger clear on Sunday and it’s looking like a long way back for Marsch as he attempts to win over supporters.

Some fans were even chanting for Marcelo Bielsa’s return less than a year since he was sacked and replaced with Marsch.

If results continue in this fashion, Leeds will have no other option than to sack Marsch and find a replacement.

The Daily Mail now report that Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani just don’t think there are many upgrades on Marsch around right now.

Leeds’ two big decision makers are understood to be sympathetic to Marsch’s form after selling both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha last summer.

it’s added that Leeds put so much detailed research into appointing Marsch that they don’t want to give up on him easily.

This all points to the American being in charge for a little while yet even if fans are voicing their concerns.

It feels unlikely that Leeds would go for the likes of Steven Gerrard or Bruno Lage, who recently lost Premier League jobs.

Then there are the likes of Rafael Benitez, Sean Dyche and Scott Parker, who won’t exactly excite Leeds fans.

You can be sure that managers like Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino will be beyond Leeds too, so the Whites just don’t see na improvement coming.

Marsch still needs results quickly in order to change the feeling around Elland Road but he will seemingly be given time – even if it’s largely because there are no amazing candidates on the market.
