Javi Gracia is keen on a return to Premier League management amid claims he could become the new boss of Leeds United.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that Gracia fancies another cricket management in English football.

Gracia became Watford boss in January 2018, replacing Marco Silva in the Vicarage Road hot seat.

The Spaniard twice kept Watford in the Premier League and even guided them to an FA Cup final in 2019.

Gracia ended up leaving Watford just a few months later though and, three-and-a-half years on, fancies a return to England.

The 52-year-old now appears to be the favourite for Leeds job as the Whites push to land a manager in light of Saturday’s defeat to Everton.

This weekend’s game against Southampton is absolutely enormous and Leeds seemingly feel they need a new boss in place by then.

Javi Gracia appears to be the overwhelming Leeds United favourite

Gracia wasn’t even a name to consider on Sunday but a move to Elland Road now appears to be on the cards.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that Gracia was in talks to become Leeds boss.

Romano named Gracia as a ‘serious candidate’ for the Leeds job and the rumours have only accelerated since then .

The Daily Mail report that Gracia is being offered a four-month contract at Leeds and will receive major bonuses if he keeps the club in the Premier League.

That may even lead to a longer deal for Gracia but Leeds are seemingly going down the path of a short-term boss for now.

TalkSPORT add that Rafael Benitez is interested in the job but Gracia is more likely to be appointed as things stand.

Gracia has been out of work since June having left Al Sadd, where he won the league title in Qatar last season.

Everything points words Gracia becoming Leeds manager very soon, even if only until the summer.
