Leeds United want James McAtee but now face a battle with Nottingham Forest for his signature this summer.
The Whites seem to have got most of their business done already after a busy start to the window.
Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi, Luis Sinisterra and Sonny Perkins have all arrived this summer.
A striker and a left back will likely be the priority for Leeds before the end of the window, but could the Whites still add another playmaker?
Leeds United want James McAtee
The Daily Mail report that Leeds are right in the mix to sign Manchester City talent James McAtee on loan this summer.
It’s stated that City are now considering allowing McAtee to leave the club on loan – if a club can promise major playing time.
Leeds are interested but face a battle with newly-promoted Nottingham Forest, who also fancy taking McAtee on loan.
Bournemouth and even Villarreal are in the race too, with City seemingly inundated with interest in McAtee.
McAtee, 19, has come up through the Manchester City ranks and looks to be their next quality young midfielder.

Phil Foden is flying the flag in that regard whilst Cole Palmer showed glimpses of his ability last season.
McAtee managed six first-team appearances in all competitions last season, making his breakthrough under Pep Guardiola.
A silky attacking midfielder just like Foden, McAtee seems ready for senior action somewhere – even if it isn’t at City.
The problem with the Leeds links is that the Whites have just paid up for their own young attacking midfielder in Aaronson.
Agreeing to bring in McAtee would mean committing to major playing time – possibly at the expense of Aaronson.
That just doesn’t seem likely and we would argue that a move to Forest makes more sense given that they have been chasing another attacking midfielder in Morgan Gibbs-White.
