Only Middlesbrough are deemed to have a greater chance of landing Wyke than Leeds United.
One bookmaker has installed Leeds United as second favourites – behind Middlesbrough – to sign Charlie Wyke in January, after opening a market on the Bradford City striker’s next club.
Wyke is said to have several Championship suitors, having scored 20 goals in 48 games since joining Bradford a year ago.
Middlesbrough are the latest club to be linked with a move for the 25-year-old, despite letting him go in January 2015.
Leeds, though, are also thought to be in the market for strikers, with old boy Ross McCormack the latest to be linked with a move to Elland Road.
And the Whites could be in the mix for Wyke, if Bet Victor’s odds list is anything to go by.
Only Middlesbrough (2/1) occupy shorter odds than Leeds (4/1) to sign him, with Sunderland and Norwich City behind the Yorkshire rivals at 6/1 and 8/1 respectively.
Wyke is unlikely to come cheap, however, with Stuart McCall, the Bradford manager, telling Sky Sports this week that it would take £5 million to prise him away from Valley Parade.
