Leeds United beat Ipswich Town on Wednesday night – and then hit back at a former One Direction member.

Leeds United enjoyed a fine Wednesday night as they picked up all three points with a 2-0 home win over Ipswich Town – and the night ended with a bizarre Twitter row.
The Whites were looking to get back to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon, and saw Pablo Hernandez return to the starting line-up in a major boost.
It was Hernandez who set up the opener, crossing from the right hand side for Kemar Roofe to head home, with the forward getting back on the scoresheet after a recent absence through injury.
With Ipswich struggling so far this season, Leeds were of course pressing for the second goal, and it came when the Tractor Boys switched off from a short corner, and captain Liam Cooper turned home the second.
Leeds returned to the top of the Championship with their win, and whilst Leeds fans were jubilant with the latest victory, one celebrity wasn’t exactly in party mood.

One fan asked pop star Niall Horan – formerly of One Direction – to give some luck to Leeds, and he responded by saying that nobody likes Leeds, whilst also praising Derby County.
Leeds then hit back, claiming that nobody liked Horan’s solo career either, and on a night where Leeds got back to winning ways, they also claimed something of a victory on social media too, in a bizarre, bizarre ending to the night.
