Scott Malone’s role at Huddersfield has increased and Leeds chances of signing him have diminished.

Leeds United were last month linked with a surprise raid on Huddersfield Town for defender Scott Malone.
Clubcall reported the Whites could move on loan for Malone, who signed from Fulham in the summer.
This was part owed to a lack of chances being given to the left-back, who has started just two of 11 Premier League games all season.
One of these came at the weekend in a victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Malone really stepped up and provided an assist for Town’s winner as the side kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.
Not only did he get his second league start of the season, but he excelled, and performed a lot better than his previous chance, a 2-0 loss to Swansea City.
Leeds had been linked due to their inconsistent left-back situation, having failed to buy a replacement for Charlie Taylor in the summer.
Malone would have been an outstanding addition for Leeds, even on a loan deal, but this weekend should have been a turning point for the defender.
He proved to himself and his manager that he can be an asset at Premier League level, and while he has to fight for a starting spot, he must stick with it at Huddersfield.
