The Swedish forward has struggled to impress at Leeds United since his summer move from Malmo.

Leeds United decided to make another foray into the Swedish market, despite their mixed fortunes with previous recruit Marcus Antonsson, in the summer.

Leeds made a move to bring in Pawel Cibicki from Malmo in the summer. The attacker looked to be a good signing from Leeds, but he has struggled to have any sort of impact at Elland Road.

There was talk he could move on in January, but he remained and is now set to stick around until the end of the season.

However, Leeds could still let him leave, either permanently or on loan – just not in the English transfer window.

The Swedish transfer window has only recently opened and remains open until the start of April.

Cibicki is clearly struggling to adapt at Leeds and unless Paul Heckingbottom takes a shine to him very quickly, the 23-year-old is likely to be festering even further at Elland Road.

Instead, Leeds should definitely consider a loan move for the player back to Sweden. For whatever reason, he has not made the grade at the club but is still a good prospect going forward.

It could be he has simply moved to Leeds too soon and a spell back in his native Sweden could prove to be a blessing.

Teams in Sweden would be queuing up to take Cibicki on loan and if Leeds feel they have adequate cover, then allowing their struggling summer signing to return home does not seem a terrible idea.
