Leeds United star Helder Costa showed this week what he is capable of.

His two assists against Salford helped Leeds to a 3-0 win and demonstrated he is ready to play a major role.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa has been cautious with Costa so far, picking him for just 24 minutes of a possible 180 from Leeds’ first two league games.

Costa didn’t go on the pre-season tour either, with Bielsa wanting the attacker to stay at Thorp Arch and work on his fitness.

The Portugal international showed this week that even if he is not quite at 100 per cent of his fitness just yet, he is still capable of changing games.

Leeds were held at home by Nottingham Forest last week and this weekend travel to Wigan, a team which beat them at the end of last season.

The time for caution with Costa is over.

Leeds have a game changer who they have committed to paying a lot of money for.

He showed he is ready, so now is the time to go all in and pick him from the start.
