Leeds United are trying to sign Adam Forshaw from Middlesbrough.

The Whites are reportedly hopeful of landing the midfielder, who is valued at £2.5 million.
Forshaw begun his career with Everton although realised it was always going to be tough breaking into their first team.
He has a former Leeds manager to thank for his success, Uwe Rosler.

Rosler took Forshaw on loan at Brentford, and this spell convinced him he needed to leave Everton, telling the Gazette: “After going out on loan I got a taste and knew I wanted to play proper men’s football, not just for the Under-21s. I knew it was my time to make the step up.”
Forshaw eventually signed with Wigan, where Rosler was manager.
The German told the Latics website: “We have got a fantastic young player at the right age and the right price for Wigan Athletic.”

Just one year later Forshaw was snapped up by Middlesbrough and was excellent under Aitor Karanka, helping them win promotion to the Premier League, where he made 35 appearances last season.
His fate under another former Leeds boss, Garry Monk, was not so good.
Monk used Forshaw sparingly, picking him to start only five Championship games.
Now a move to Leeds could be necessary to help him kick on and re-discover the form which once saw him lauded as a top talent.
