Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has suggested to Sky Sports that he could leave the Whites in the summer transfer window.

Peacock-Farrell lost his place in the Leeds starting lineup during the second half of the season following the signing of Kiko Casilla in the January transfer window.

According to WhoScored, the Northern Ireland international goalkeeper made 28 appearances in the Championship for the Whites last season.

The 22-year-old has suggested that he could leave Leeds this summer if he is not guaranteed playing time, and has said that he has spoken to the Championship club’s owner Andrea Radrizzani.

Peacock-Farrell told Sky Sports when asked about his targets for next season: “Club-wise, I couldn’t tell you. I’ve spoken to the owner. He mentioned a few things in terms of the plans for me next year.

“They said they want to offer me a new deal which is great, but that was two or three weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything since.

“The aim for me is to be number one at Leeds and play at Leeds but, if that is not the case, I may have to look elsewhere.”

Leaving Leeds United

Peacock-Farrell made mistakes from time to time last season, and one can understand why Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa decided to bring in Casilla.

However, at this stage of his career, the 22-year-old needs to play regular competitive first-team football, and if the Northern Ireland international does not get that at Leeds, then it will make sense for him to find a new club, even if that be on loan for the 2019-20 campaign.
