Leeds United have taken goalkeeper Kamil Miazek on trial.
Leeds United have a decision to make over trialist goalkeeper Kamil Miazek.
Leeds scout Jakob Bokiej confirmed this week that Miazek is on trial and is hoping to earn a permanent contract.
Miazek ended his contract with Polish second division side Chojniczanka Chojnice this summer, having made only four appearances for them.
The former Feyenoord prospect is determined to make it overseas, and had a trial at Barnsley earlier this month, Polish outlet 90 Minut reported.
Barnsley decided against doing a deal for Miazek, and their loss could now be Leeds United’s gain.
Miazek spent three seasons in Feyenoord’s academy before returning to his homeland and getting a brief taste of first team football.
The 21-year-old would face a battle to get into the Leeds team, with Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan in the first team, and Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Will Huffer available for selection at under-23 level.
Miazek could be added to the mix and this may enable Peacock-Farrell to go out on loan.
A deal is ready to be done for Miazek if he manages to impress, but that part is down to him.
