Leeds United are pushing to secure Hoffenheim striker Georginio Rutter with a huge pay rise allegedly on the cards very soon.
Reports from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg on Saturday that Leeds are attempting a ‘massive deal’ worth up to £35million for Rutter.
Plettenberg added late on Saturday night that further talks had been held and Leeds were really pushing with Rutter keen on the move.
Plettenberg claims today that more talks are being held today and Hoffenheim are happy to let Rutter go because of the ‘massive package’ Leeds are offering.
It’s added that a deal could be done by Wednesday with Leeds seemingly closing in on a huge deal.
RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins adds that Rutter is in line to earn around €4million-a-year at Leeds – around £68,000-a-week.
That’s a huge increase on his current earnings at Hoffenheim, so you can hardly blame Rutter for fancying the move to Elland Road.

Rutter could be a future star for Leeds
At £35million – which we can only assume is with all potential add-ons included – Leeds will ultimately hope for a huge immediate impact from Rutter.
The Whites need another striker and would be looking for goals to secure their Premier League status.
On the face of it, Rutter doesn’t look like being that player with just two goals and two assists in 15 Bundesliga games this season.
Yet the Frenchman has shown real talent and potential in the Bundesliga, bagging eight goals last season despite starting just 13 games.
Rutter loves to get on the ball and take people on; no Bundesliga player has completed more successful dribbles this season than the Hoffenheim star with 32 in 15 games.
That’s more than Jude Bellingham, Leroy Sane and even Jamal Musiala, so Leeds fans can expect excitement from Rutter.
After all, that’s why his former coach Frederic Lagadec stated that Rutter is ‘like Neymar’ with how he likes to have fun on the pitch.
Leeds fans may look forward to some entertainment if Rutter signs, with the deal seemingly moving closer and closer.
