Leeds United are close to signing Georginio Rutter with the Hoffenheim striker believed to be heading for West Yorkshire later today.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has taken to Twitter to give the move his customary ‘here we go’ as the deal moves closer.
Romano claims that the two clubs are exchanging documents and Rutter can travel for his medical with Leeds later today.
The fee involved is claimed to be around €28million rising to €40million (£25million rising to £35million).
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has reported similar, stating that Rutter will fly from Germany to England later today.
A medical will take place ‘in the next hours’ with Rutter’s move to Leeds now on the verge of completion.

Georginio Rutter is an exciting signing for Leeds
Leeds needed to add another striker this month and fans will have wanted a proven goalscorer to help Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo.
Rutter isn’t really that kind of play at this stage of his development.
The French attacker has scored just twice in the Bundesliga this season but did find the net eight times last season.
Rutter is currently an exciting attacker with the ball at his feet, racking up the most successful dribbles in the Bundesliga this season with 32 in 15 games.
Everybody marvelled at Jamal Musiala’s dribbling at the World Cup yet Rutter has been far beyond him in that regard this season.
That’s a stat that will really get Leeds fans excited and should get them off their seats at Elland Road.
Rutter is coming in as potentially the most expensive signing in Leeds history, and big expectations will come with that price tag.
Yet if the 20-year-old can add a clinical edge to his already impressive technical ability, Leeds may have just secured an absolute superstar.
