Kemar Roofe returned from injury in recent weeks and he will now be hoping to fire Leeds United to the Premier League.
Leeds United ace Kemar Roofe is adamant that the opposition must find Elland Road ‘intimidating’ as he revealed that it is ‘amazing’ walking out to the home fans every week.
The 26-year-old recently returned from injury and he will be pushing for a start on Friday when Marcelo Bielsa’s side take on relegation-threatened Wigan on home soil.
If Leeds are to end their near two-decade barren run in the second tier of English football then the home supporters will play a huge part as Roofe acknowledged the part they play.
“It’s amazing when you walk out through the tunnel, looking at everybody waving their scarves. Must be intimidating for the opposition,” said Roofe, as quoted by Leeds Live.
There are four more games in the season remaining and if Bielsa’s side secure maximum points then they will earn promotion automatically ahead of third-placed Sheffield United.
After their home clash against Wigan, the Whites will travel to London for a tricky home encounter against Brentford, who have produced mixed results under their new manager Thomas Frank.
Six days later, they will prepare for the visit of Dean Smith’s high-flying Aston Villa, who at this moment in time, have won eight Championship games on the bounce and it could be 10 by the time they travel to Yorkshire.
That heavyweight encounter could have big bearings on both teams season because maximum points could potentially seal Leeds’ automatic promotion, while Villa could all but seal a playoff spot in that match.
