Will Kemar Roofe start for Leeds United in Wales tonight?

Leeds United face arguably their toughest test of the season tonight with a visit to Cardiff City.

Top-of-the-table Leeds are only above Wolves and the Bluebirds on goal difference but victory in Wales this evening would offer the clearest indication yet that Thomas Christiansen’s side are indeed the real deal this season.

The Whites go into the contest on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 win at home to Ipswich Town, in which Pierre-Michel Lasogga bagged his third league goal in four games.

The German striker, on loan from Hamburg, is available for selection but Lasogga has had a busy few days after flying to his homeland and back following the birth of his daughter on Friday.

As a consequence, there has been suggestions that Kemar Roofe – an unused substitution on Saturday – might spearhead United’s attack at the expense of the 25-year-old.

Either way, some Leeds fans on Twitter would like to see Christiansen include the 24-year-old in some capacity, with Roofe boasting five goals from six starts in all competitions.

Roofe has proven himself an able centre-forward, having spent virutally all of his debut season on the wing under Garry Monk last term.
