Paul Heckingbottom has admitted that he is yet to decide on who to make his new captain.
Leeds United fans want Adam Forshaw to be made captain, as Paul Heckingbottom decides who will wear the armband.
Eunan O’Kane and Pablo Hernandez have both captained Leeds in the early stages of Heckingbottom’s time in charge.
Leeds fans appear to feel that neither of the pair are the ideal candidate to wear the armband though.
And they have backed Heckingbottom to announce Forshaw as their permanent captain.
Heckingbottom, himself, stated yesterday to the club’s official website that he didn’t feel that he knew the players well enough to announce a permanent captain just yet.
He said: “As it stands at the minute, I don’t know the players well enough and they don’t know me well enough to start chopping and changing things around like that.”
It remains to be seen just who will wear the armband for Leeds tonight, when they take on Derby County.
Leeds really need to win the contest, if they are to keep their slim hopes of reaching the play offs alive.
Leeds are currently in 12th place in the Championship table, eight points away from the top six.
