Leeds United fans want the Wolverhampton Wanderers-linked Benik Afobe from Bournemouth.

With two days left in the January transfer window, it looks like Leeds United might not get the Championship-class striker that they desperately need.
The Whites have the likes of Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe, but you get the feeling that Leeds need a better option than both in order to boost their hopes of winning promotion to the Premier League.
It seems like no such player will be arriving in West Yorkshire this month, but it doesn’t stop United fans from dreaming and quite a few people on Twitter have thrown the name Benik Afobe into the mix.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers hitman, who previously has 26 goals in 86 Championship games, is the subject of interest from Wolves, with The Express and Star claiming that the Molineux side has a made a loan bid for the £10 million-rated forward.
With Wolves looking destined for the Premier League, turning them down could be tough if it’s true, but Leeds fans have explored the possibility of their club landing him too.
Wolves are flying high at the summit of the Championship and boast a 14-point cushion in the automatic promotion places. Signing Afobe would surely seal the deal for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, if there was any doubt that they would get over the line.
But the Elland Road side certainly need him more and Leeds’ Director of Football Victor Orta should enquire if he is avaiable on loan.
