Leeds United fans think they may just be back in for Marcus Maddison, after Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony’s latest tweet on the attacking midfielder’s future.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Maddison this summer, but their interest in the attacker seemed to have cooled.

However, MacAnthony suggested that ‘one big, big Championship club’ now want him.

And Leeds fans have started to believe that they could be back in the running for the 24-year-old.

Leeds’ transfer plans under Marcelo Bielsa are yet to become clear, but whether Maddison would fit into a high pressing system remains to be seen.

Maddison has been a regular provider of assists for Posh, but there are still some questions over his work-rate.

Leeds are thought to be looking to add more creativity this summer, but they have been quiet in the transfer window so far.

The Whites are yet to make a signing, with Bielsa reportedly demanding full control of transfers after taking charge.
