Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has sought to stub out criticism after he was pictured at the home of rivals Manchester United with his family.

Some supporters had criticised the manager, leading to club owner Andrea Radrizzani to stick up for Christiansen via Twitter.

A general view of the Old Trafford stadium prior to the Premier League match between Manchester United and Leicester City at Old Trafford on August 26, 2017 in Manchester, England.

Christiansen later took to Twitter himself, explaining that the attraction was Manchester City, not United, and specifically Pep Guardiola.

While there was initial criticism from fans for seeing Christiansen at Old Trafford, his message has been well received.

Simply the fact that Christiansen and Radrizzani are willing to communicate openly and react to fan criticism shows that they are paying attention to what is being said.

Ultimately it is a bit of a storm in a teacup, a sideshow when Leeds are performing well on the pitch.
