Some Leeds United fans have responded to Rodrigo De Paul’s latest post on Twitter and have urged him to move to Elland Road.
Premier League club Leeds were linked with De Paul in the summer of 2020, and Marcelo Bielsa’s side are still claimed to be interested in the Argentina international.
The Mirror reported in September 2020 that Leeds wanted to sign De Paul in the summer of 2020.
The Sun reported earlier this month that the Whites are still interested in signing the attacking player, adding that head coach Marcelo Bielsa is in two minds whether to make a bid for his Argentine compatriot now or wait until the summer of 2021.
Well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport this month that the West Yorkshrire club will have to pay €40 million (£35.59 million) if they want to sign De Paul, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Following Udinese’s goalless draw with Inter Milan at home in Serie A on Saturday, De Paul posted the following message on Twitter, which when translated from Italian, reads: “Grit and heart”.
De Paul has scored four goals and provided one assist in 19 Serie A matches for Udinese so far this season, according to WhoScored.
With just days left in the January transfer window, it is hard to see Udinese sell one of their best players now, and Leeds will probably have to wait until the summer of 2021 to get De Paul.
