Former Leeds United striker Billy Sharp was in action for Sheffield United at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds United fans have responded to Billy Sharp’s post on Twitter following the win for Sheffield United at Elland Road.

United got the better of Leeds 1-0 in the Yorkshire derby away from home at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Chris Basham scored the only goal of the Championship game in the 7st minute, with the home team ending the match with 10 men to the sending-off of goalkeeper Kiko Casilla in the first minute of injury time.

Sharp started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and after full time, he posted a tweet of emojis perfectly enrapturing his mood.

The 33-year-old striker was on the books of Leeds during the 2014-15 season before joining the Blades in the summer of 2015.

So far this season, Sharp has made 29 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for United, scoring 22 goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Against Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, the former Southampton striker provided one assist, took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 84.6%, won two headers, and made one interception, according to WhoScored.
