Liverpool ace James Milner professed his love for former side Leeds United earlier this week as he toasted them being at the top of the Championship table.
With the Reds top of the Premier League, it made a sweet double for the Leeds academy graduate.
Milner yesterday reminisced about his Leeds spell again, with it now 16 years exactly since his first ever goal for the club.
Milner’s first goal for Leeds was back in 2002 against Sunderland, when he was just 16.
He remarked that only one other figure from the fixture seemed to still be performing, referee Mike Dean.
Leeds sold Milner a few months after their relegation in 2004, and he later went on to win the Premier League title for Manchester City.
Milner is hoping to repeat the feat again with Liverpool.
Leeds fans have not given up on Milner returning to Elland Road. This could be feasible if Liverpool win the title and Leeds win promotion.
