Victor Sanchez has claimed that Leeds United made contact with him before appointing Paul Heckingbottom as the head coach.

Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to recent comments made by Victor Sanchez.
The 41-year-old former Real Madrid and Spain international midfielder recently told AS that Leeds made contact with him regarding the role of head coach at Elland Road.
The West Yorkshire outfit have appointed Paul Heckingbottom as the head coach following the departure of Thomas Christiansen due to a run of poor results in the Championship.

Leeds are struggling at the moment and are not in good form, but the Whites can still in with a chance of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
Sanchez, who has managed Deportivo La Coruna, Olympiacos and Real Betis so far in his career, recently told AS that Leeds made contact with him regarding taking over as the first-team head coach at Elland Road.
