Leeds United’s Under-23’s were in action on Sunday afternoon, and beat Aston Villa 3-2 at Thorp Arch.
Marcelo Bielsa’s first team lost 2-1 at home to West Ham United on Friday, so this was a chance for talented youngsters to stake a claim.
The Under-23’s actually fell 2-0 down, but roared back to 2-2 as Bobby Kamwa and Sam Greenwood scored to level the game.
Tyler Roberts then scored from the spot to make it 3-2 to Leeds, completing the comeback to seal all three points.
Leeds moved to the top of the Premier League 2 Division 2 table with that win, and Greenwood certainly impressed.
The striker was snapped up from Arsenal over the summer, with Leeds having high hopes for him for the coming years.

Despite mostly being an attacker, Greenwood played in a midfield role, and still took his tally to six goals in seven PL2 games this season.
Fans took to Twitter to hail Greenwood, branding him ‘immense’ and ‘excellent’, even feeling that he looked like a natural in a deeper role.
Some even predicted a first-team debut in the near future, believing it won’t be long before the 18-year-old is picked by Bielsa for senior action as he continues to impress.
