Edmondson featured for the Leeds U23 side in their Professional Development League playoff final against their Birmingham counterparts at Elland Road.
The 17-year-old is one of the best strikers at this level and has been in brilliant form this season, and there was no surprise to see the talented and promising teenager leading the line for the West Yorkshire outfit.
The teenager went close in the first half following a cross from Robbie Gotts, but his header was turned out for a corner.
The youngster found the net in extra time, but it was ruled out due to offside, and the striker then had another chance with a volley that was not on target.
Edmondson scored for the Leeds Under-23 side in the penalty shootout, which the home team won 4-2 to be crowned the Professional Development League champions.
Leeds fans following the match on Monday afternoon were impressed with the performance of Edmondson and want him in the first team.
