Leeds United’s first team were in action on Friday night, hammering Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park in a superb performance.

Patrick Bamford’s hat-trick stole the show in a thumping win for the Whites, as Marcelo Bielsa’s men continue to shine in the Premier League.

Today though, it was the turn of the Under-23’s, and Leeds named a strong squad for their game against Norwich City at Thorp Arch.

Kiko Casilla, Pascal Struijk, Pablo Hernandez, Tyler Roberts and Ian Carlo Poveda all started, whilst new signing Raphinha was also included despite featuring as a substitute on Friday.

Poveda bagged the opener, firing home from close range after Tyler Roberts had lopped the ball goalward, and Raphinha grabbed the second as he raced clear to score.

The Brazilian winger, signed from Rennes on deadline day earlier this month, was deployed as a number 10 today, and showed what he can do with a fine goal.

Leeds fans watched on and were hugely impressed with Raphinha, branding him ‘magical’ and ‘special’ for his performance today.

Others think that ‘you can just see’ how good Raphinha is, believing that he is going to be some player for Leeds this season.
