Leeds United were in action this evening as they hosted Arsenal, and they may be disappointed with a 0-0 draw against the Gunners.

The Whites were dominant throughout, but just couldn’t get the all-important goal in a strong first-half performance.

Nicolas Pepe’s second half red card gave Leeds a one-man advantage for 40 minutes, though Leeds did everything but score.

Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford and then Raphinha all hit the woodwork, whilst Bernd Leno made a number of saves to keep Arsenal’s clean sheet in tact.

Marcelo Bielsa may be disappointed to have no found the winner, but this was another superb display from Leeds, who were back to their best with Kalvin Phillips back in the side.

Still, many eyes were on new signing Raphinha, as the Brazilian winger made his first start since arriving from Rennes on deadline day in October.

The 23-year-old made one key passes, two accurate crosses, one interception and one successful dribble, as well as making one tackle.

He could have capped off a fine start with the winner, and Leeds fans were encouraged by his ‘lively’ performance.

Some called him a ‘baller’ and ‘a bargain’ having impressed against Arsenal, and now believe that he has nailed down a starting role for some time.
