Leeds United found themselves a new star last season, with the signature of Pontus Jansson from Torino.
Initially on loan, he will become a permanent Leeds player this summer.
The Swede’s good form in West Yorkshire has seen him move back into contention with his national team in recent times and that continued yesterday as he featured in his nation’s 1-1 draw with local rivals Norway.

He started the game, but unfortunately did not make it all the way through until the end. He suffered a knee injury in the 70th minute and had to leave the field.
With any knee injury there is always a fear among fans and Leeds fans were obviously concerned about their star defender potentially picking up a severe injury problem:
However, it appears he is far from seriously injured. That is according to his older brother Peter. He gave this update on Twitter after the game to confirm that the Leeds centre-back only suffered an impact injury and did not sustain any serious damage.
Leeds fans will now hope Jansson, who has been linked with a move away from Elland Road already, can use the summer to get fit and firing for another tilt at promotion with the West Yorkshire club next season.
