Leeds United have been linked with Nahitan Nandez on a regular basis in recent months, and the rumour has now returned once again.
The Whites opened their season with a 5-1 thumping at the hands of Manchester United at Old Trafford, leaving Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta with plenty to think about.
Leeds ultimately need new recruits if they’re going to move forward this season; goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson and left back Junior Firpo are the only major first-team additions this summer, though Jack Harrison has joined permanently.
Under-23 recruitment remains strong at Leeds, but they need more in the first-team picture, especially in midfield.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Leeds have restarted talks for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez in light of Saturday’s thrashing at United.
The Uruguayan has been linked with Leeds throughout the summer window, and reports in Italy last month suggested that Victor Orta had travelled to negotiate a deal for Nandez.

Nandez would bring real energy and bite to the Leeds midfield, with Mateusz Klich unable to offer either at the level Bielsa needs right now.
Leeds fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, suggesting that Nandez is ideal and should be signed now.
Others think that Leeds need to wake up and realise a midfielder must be brought in, but some worry that a deal for Nandez just won’t happen after so many false dawns.
