Pennington looked solid during pre-season before an early injury struck, but questions have been asked since he returned to the fold, especially with Pontus Jansson regularly overlooked despite his outstanding form last season.
There is no doubting the Leeds loanee’s quality, yet he has to show consistency over the next few months to ensure his temporary club continue to challenge for a top-six finish.
