Leeds United fell to defeat on Saturday afternoon, as they were beaten 3-0 away at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Whites were hoping to replicate their thumping 5-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, but came unstuck in North London.

Harry Kane buried a first-half penalty when Ezgjan Alioski brought down Steven Bergwijn, before Kane found Son Heung-min to make it 2-0.

Son picked out Toby Alderweireld for 3-0 in the second half, and Leeds just couldn’t get back into the game as Jose Mourinho’s men kept a clean sheet.

This was another difficult game for Leeds in terms of their defending, as they leaked another three goals against a big side.

That’s six against Manchester United, four against Liverpool, three against Chelsea and now three against Spurs, but that hasn’t stopped Leeds fans raving about one defender.

Luke Ayling came in for huge praise from Leeds fans on Twitter, who felt that he was a standout performer as he again filled in at centre back.

Supporters called the former Arsenal fan ‘world class’, believing that he now looks like a new player as a centre back and is helping replace Ben White, with some raving about his progression in the top flight.
