Leeds United slipped to defeat on Wednesday night, losing 2-1 at home to Everton in a frustrating evening.
The Whites were outstanding in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Leicester City, and were looking to build on that victory as they welcomed Everton to Elland Road.
Unfortunately, this was a tough defeat for Leeds, which started with Gylfi Sigurdsson converting Lucas Digne’s cross.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin added a second for the Toffees, before Raphinha hauled Leeds back into the game in the second half.
Despite piling pressure on the Everton goal, Leeds couldn’t find the equaliser, and slipped to defeat.
There were still some impressive displays though, and one of them came from right back Luke Ayling.

The 29-year-old continues to be an unbelievable bargain having signed for just £200,000 in 2016,
Fans called him ‘immense’ and an ‘absolute machine’ for his performance against Everton, even adding that he was carrying the Leeds team and is one of the club’s best signings ever.
