Liam Cooper impressed for Leeds United on Saturday.

Liam Cooper is certainly back in Leeds United fans’ good books again after captaining the Whites to a 2-0 win over Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday.
Leeds, coming off a demoralising 4-1 defeat at Wolves, eased into a 2-0 half-time lead courtesy of goals from Samu Saiz and Egzjan Alioski, before a solid defensive performance in the second period ensured that Thomas Christiansen’s side picked up a second victory in six days.
It was the type of spirited, all-round display which has often eluded United on the road this season but, led by the excellent Cooper in central defence, the Yorkshire side got one over their local rivals.

Saiz and Alioski have been drawing so much of the post-match praise, and rightly so, but Leeds fans on Twitter felt it right that the former Chesterfield man get some recognition for his performance.
Cooper, along with pretty much every United man, has been rather inconsistent this season, sometimes brilliant and other times leaving a bit to be desired, but fans of the Elland Road club seemed delighted with him at Oakwell.
Here is some of the best reaction:

Leeds host in-form Aston Villa – who have won eight of their last 11 Championship games – at Elland Road next week and victory could propel Christiansen’s side back into the top six.
