Leeds United fans react to Liam Bridcutt omission on Twitter.
Liam Bridcutt will play no part in Leeds United’s visit of Preston North End this afternoon.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who was Leeds’ captain last season, was left out of the squad by head coach Thomas Christiansen.
Having played in Wednesday night’s win over Port Vale, it would not appear as if he is injured.

And fans of the Yorkshire club on Twitter have reacted to the news, with several believing that the former Sunderland man will not be a Leeds player beyond the end of the transfer window.
Bridcutt, in his defence, is a fine midfielder but if he’s not making the Leeds squad on a regular basis then, as fans have pointed out, there’s a very positive implication in regards to Christiansen’s direction.
He also played no role in the 3-2 win at Bolton last week, with Kalvin Phillips, who scored twice, and Eunan O’Kane deployed in central midfield.
And another win over Preston today would lessen the long-term need for Bridcutt.
