Denton scored the winner on his first-team debut on Tuesday and has now been rewarded with improved terms.

The good news at Leeds United this week continued as Tuesday night’s teenage goal hero Tyler Denton was awarded a new three-year contract on Friday.
Denton was handed his competitive first-team debut by Garry Monk in the EFL Cup second-round clash with Luton Town in midweek, and far from being daunted by the occasion he instead grabbed his chance with both hands.
The left-back, who has also played in midfield for the Whites’ youth sides, drilled in from the edge of the box to score what turned out to be the only goal of the game to send his side through to round three.
Monk said after the match that he did not have any concerns that Denton would struggle to stay grounded after his overnight rise to prominence.

The Yorkshire club have now awarded Denton, who is represented by former Leeds hero Ian Harte, a new contract which ties him to Elland Road until the summer of 2019.
Denton is just the latest in a long line of talent to come through the Whites academy, joining fellow current first-team stars such as Alex Mowatt, Charlie Taylor, and Kalvin Phillips in making the grade.
After Lewis Cook’s departure for Bournemouth earlier this summer, many fans are concerned about losing more of the club’s top young talent.
Denton’s new deal, then, will come as a big relief and Leeds supporters were quick to voice their approval and delight on Twitter.
