Leeds United cannot afford to fund a move for Liverpool’s James Milner, according to reports.

Hay suggested on Twitter earlier this week that Leeds would not be signing Milner this summer.
And the Mail backed these claims up last night, suggesting that Leeds just cannot finance a deal for the 33-year-old.
Milner’s contract at Liverpool is set to expire and Leeds had made plans to make him one of their first signings had they earned promotion this season.
However, their defeat in the play offs means that Leeds are now looking at alternative targets.
And Leeds fans are gutted that Milner won’t be heading back to Elland Road.
Milner is actually expected to sign a contract extension at Liverpool, and there may be more hope of the midfielder making an emotional return next season, if Leeds can finally make it back to the Premier League.
