Jack Clarke, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, played well for the Leeds United Under-23 side on Monday.

Leeds United's Jack Clarke warms up during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Sheffield United at Elland Road on March 16, 2019 in Leeds, England.

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Jack Clarke for the club’s Under-23 side against their Millwall counterparts on Monday, and Tottenham Hotspur supporters will be encouraged.

Clarke joined Premier League club Tottenham from Championship outfit Leeds in the summer transfer window, but the winger will spend the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Elland Road.

The 18-year-old, who can also operate as a forward, was in action for the Leeds Under-23 side against their Millwall counterparts in the Professional Development League North on Monday.

The winger gave a good account of himself, as he dribbled well, cut inside from wide positions a number of times, and was also involved in Eddie Nketiah’s goal, as Leeds won 3-2.

Clarke also came close to scoring, and Leeds fans were impressed, as shown in the following posts on Twitter.

Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur

Clarke has not been playing regularly for the Leeds first team this season, but the winger is only 18 years of age and it makes sense that he plays for the West Yorkshire outfit’s youth team.

Tottenham fans should be encouraged by the 18-year-old’s performance on Monday, as it underlines his quality and progress.
