Leeds United are out of the Carabao Cup having been knocked out by Hull City on Wednesday night.
The Whites named a much-changed side from the one that lost 4-3 at Liverpool last weekend, and it proved to be a difficult night for Marcelo Bielsa and co.
Leeds fell behind at Elland Road as Kiko Casilla gave the ball away, and ex-Leeds talent Mallik Wilks fired home a deflected strike.
With a youthful side on the pitch, Leeds weren’t at their best, and they profited from Hull’s wastefulness by bagging a late equaliser through Ezgjan Alioski.
Alioski failed from the spot in the penalty shoot-out though, and when Jamie Shackleton’s effort was saved, Alfie Jones sent Hull through.
There weren’t many things for Leeds fans to shout about last night, but the performance of Ian Carlo Poveda was a bright spot.

The winger, signed from Manchester City in January, has found first-team football hard to come by with Leeds, but was given a chance to shine last night.
Leeds fans praised Poveda for his display, believing that Leeds may have found ‘a gem’, and have a ‘real player on their hands’ in the 20-year-old wide man.
Others believe that he needs to improve his end product, but the general consensus was that Poveda was ‘class’ and ‘quality’ last night, making him one of the few to earn praise.
