Leeds United are reportedly keen on Tottenham Hotspur hitman Fernando Llorente.

Leeds United are pushing for promotion under Marcelo Bielsa, and the Argentinian may well be keen on January additions to boost their chances of returning to the Premier League.

The Whites spent big on Patrick Bamford over the summer, but the striker suffered a major injury in September, and whilst he is set to return in January, another hitman ma be wanted.

Adding more goals into the team, alongside Kemar Roofe and Tyler Roberts, may just give Leeds an advantage over their promotion rivals – and one link is hugely exciting.

The Sun reported on Wednesday night that Leeds want to bring in Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente, with a £4million fee suggested for the target man.

Llorente, 33, has only managed six goals in 35 games for Spurs since a 2017 move from Swansea City, and the Spaniard is expected to move on in 2019, with his contract coming to an end next summer.

Leeds may now swoop in to bring him to Elland Road, with links no great surprise given that Llorente thrived under Leeds boss Bielsa at Athletic Bilbao, and a reunion may make some sense if Leeds can find the money.

Leeds fans have been taking to Twitter to react, and whilst some think that Leeds may struggle to sign him financially, they believe Llorente would provide goals aplenty in the Championship, believing that if Bielsa really does want Llorente, then Leeds will find a way to sign him and upgrade their front line.
