Leeds United’s and Derby County’s rivalry stepped up a gear last season after ‘spy-gate’.

Leeds United fans have responded light-heartedly after Derby County announced they are hosting an open training session in the build up to their Championship season.
Derby announced on Twitter that they would welcome fans to watch training later this week, as they prepare for the new campaign.
The rivalry between Leeds and Derby stepped up a gear last term, after the Rams were left furious with Marcelo Bielsa’s side over ‘spy-gate’.
Derby ended up beating Leeds in the play offs, and the celebrations made reference to Bielsa sending someone to watch their training sessions in the normal season.
Frank Lampard, in particular, took on board a great deal of criticism from Leeds supporters.
But Whites fans could not help but chuckle at Derby holding an open training session this campaign, now they have Philipp Cocu in charge.
Leeds and Derby are due to meet for the first time in the upcoming campaign on 21st September, and that could be a feisty affair at Elland Road.
