Leeds United are yet to confirm third spot in the Championship table as they take on already-relegated Ipswich on Sunday.

Leeds United supporters on Twitter have provided a mixed response to Derby County dropping points at Swansea City on Wednesday night.

That result means that the race to finish in sixth place is still up for grabs. Frank Lampard’s side, Middlesbrough and Bristol City will be vying for that spot on the final day of the season.

It also means that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are still unsure as to which team they will play in the playoff semi-final. They still haven’t secured third spot themselves, but they travel to already-relegated Ipswich on Sunday, so losing their current standings shouldn’t be too much of a worry.

Nonetheless, if Derby picked up three points in Wales then that final playoff spot would have been all but secured because of their better goal difference.

But it is now set to go to a final nerve-racking day, which doesn’t help Leeds either because they would have wanted to prepare for the team they are set to come up against.

With all that happened with Spygate earlier on in the season, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bielsa come up against Lampard.

Here is a selection of Leeds fans on Twitter reacting to Derby’s result:

The other teams in the playoff reckoning are Midland duo Aston Villa and West Brom. They are set to play each other in one of the semi-finals.

Whichever team go through, the opposition’s defence will face a tough test because both teams pose some of the best attacking talents in the league.
