Leeds United wanted to sign Daniel James when the Manchester United winger was still at Swansea City.

Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to Daniel James holding a shirt of the club in January 2019 when the Manchester United winger was on the verge of signing from Swansea City, as shown on Amazon.
James joined Premier League club United from Championship outfit Swansea in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Swans had to pay the Red Devils an initial transfer fee of £15 million to secure the services of the Wales international winger.
James, though, could have joined Leeds back in the January 2019 had everything gone according to plan.
As shown in the Amazon documentary ‘Take Us Home’ about Leeds’s 2018-19 season, the winger was all set to sign for the West Yorkshire outfit.
The 21-year-old winger had a medical at Thorp Arch and was pictured holding a Leeds shirt – as reported in The Daily Mail – but Swansea decided to pull the plug at the last minute.
