Leeds United fans have been discussing the future of Charlie Taylor on HITC Sport.

Taylor is one of the best left-backs in the Championship and is an important player in Garry Monk’s team.

The 23-year-old, who can also play as a left-winger, has been at Leeds his entire professional club so far and has a contract until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

According to a recent report in The Sun, Leeds are ready to offer Taylor a new contract.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Premier League duo Bournemouth and West Ham United are interested in signing the Englishman.

The Sun has claimed that Taylor and his agent have so far refused talks on a new contract.

It has been reported that Leeds are ready to offer the highly-rated left-back a major new deal in order to fend off interest from Premier League clubs.

Taylor wanted to leave the Championship outfit in the summer and handed in a transfer request, but it was rejected, as announced on the club’s official website in August.

Leeds fans have been discussing the future of Taylor on HITC Sport as well as on Twitter.

Below are some of the best comments:

Leeds United's Charlie Taylor

Ranger: “I had the thought the other day after reading his comments he won’t want to leave anyway. I have a feeling something is happening from both sides and that Taylor is already thinking about staying as long as he get a good deal.. had the impression he was having second thought..he deserves a better deal now anyway.”

Peter duval: “Charlie Taylor is clearly one of the best (if not the best) left back in the championship .. But it’s a two way thing

“A… A players career is short and if any man is offered a significant pay increase he will usually wish to take it

“B… Does he want to stay and play Premier League football next season with LUFC

“Personally as good as Charlie is if he wants to move let him go and strength elsewhere … Of course he should be paid accordingly

“There is plenty of exceptional left backs around including the guy at Fulham Sessegnon, Rico Henry and the young lad for Barnsley to name but three … Hope he stays but not the end of the world if he goes…”

Rob Norris: “If it is possible I would be moving to sign Taylor on a new deal but only if HE wants to stay……

“Taylor has probably looked at his mates Byram & Cook and seen how seldom they actually get to play any Premier League football – Sam got injured again yesterday for W.Ham and Lewis doesn’t even get on the bench at B’mouth!!!”

Erik Wilkinson: “After a bit of a shaky start when he looked like he wanted away he’s had some good games. Pity about the own goal yesterday, but the cross was low and hard and he had Sam Winnall to contend with as well.

“I don’t think he really wants to leave and if LUFC offer him an improvement on what they did last time, I think he should tell his agent to do one and look after Sam Byram.”
